Geotextiles Pty Ltd. Filtersok™
is a tough, one piece knitted polyester envelope material that can be
easily fitted over perforated drainage pipes like a sleeve.
The Filtersok™ bridges the perforations helping to stabilise the soil so sediment does not flow in and plug the drain line. Some of the very fine particles (colloidal particles) pass through and out of the drain lines with the water. This is desirable since the removal of fine particles from the soil increases the permeability of the soil near the drain lines. Filtersok™ is manufactured to State Highway Department
specifications to achieve high abrasion resistance and durability.
